Contrary Polish Last Leaves - November 2014 A Box, Indied.

Hi all! I hope you all are doing wonderfully and enjoying the cooler weather.

Today I have a Contrary Polish from the A Box, Indied exclusive that is perfect for Fall to show you.
The theme for this box is
A Cornucopia of Color.
Scroll down below to see swatches and to read about it's availability!

Contrary Polish Last Leaves Macro Contrary Polish Last Leaves (2) Contrary Polish Last Leaves (1)

Last Leaves is a milk chocolate shade with red, orange, yellow, and green microflakes.
I used three thin coats for full opacity, but two coats is definitely wearable with practically no VNL.
This polish is really beautiful and perfect for this time of year, in my macro you can see that the gorgeous shimmer is really like itty bitty microflakies, and through the layers this polish has gorgeous depth.

You can purchase the October A Box, Indied via Llarowe on September 26. (Unsure of what time though)

Be sure to follow Contrary Polish, Llarowe and A Box, Indied on Facebook!

Girly Bits - Darkly Dreaming

Hi all! Today's post is the stunning collab polish that Jen from The Polishaholic made with Girly Bits!
When I saw that Pam was going to do a pre-order I knew that I had to have it!

Darkly Dreaming is a gorgeous dark forest green jelly with copper shimmer throughout.
I wore this a while ago so I'm not sure how many coats I used, but I'm inclined to say three coats.
It captured a little dark, but It is also lighter when you use less coats.

I'm so happy that I purchased this one! It is stunning <3

Contrary Polish The Mellower Season - September 2014 A Box, Indied.

Hi guys! Today's post is featuring the Contrary Polish September A Box, Indied shade!

The September box theme is Fall into Autumn, and you can purchase it exclusively via Llarowe.

Contrary Polish The Mellower Season Macro

Contrary Polish The Mellower Season
The Mellower Season is dark bluish purple with orange shimmer/microglitter.

I used three thin coats of The Mellower Season for full opacity, the formula was a little bit thick but Carrie has since resolved that issue for the September box so it should be prefect for you guys!

In person it is a little bit dustier/muted than in my pictures, and the shimmer is a little more hidden in normal light.
I had a rough time capturing it, but did my best though! It is a wonderful Fall shade and will look great on all skin tones.
I just can't wait for all the fall collection to start coming out!

To stay updated on when this Box will be available follow Llarowe on Facebook!

Contrary Polish Bright Lights, Small City (July A Box, Indied) - Swatch & Review

hi all! Today's post is featuring the Contrary Polish LE shade from July's A Box, Indied!
You can purchase
A Box, Indied exclusively from Llarowe.

The shade is called Bright Lights, Small City and it's
inspired by the 2013 Missouri State Fair.
Reminds me that I haven't been to a fair in years! I might have to go to the 2014
Missouri State Fair (or the maybe KC one)

What have you guys been up to? I bet a lot of you are doing the same as me, binge watching the Orange is the New Black!

Contrary Polish Bright Lights, Small City Macro (1)

Bright Lights, Small City - Three coats.

Bright Lights, Small City is a stunning dark royal blue jelly that is full of orange and pink shimmer.

Two coats had adequate coverage without VNL but I added a third to account for flash.
The formula was a littler thicker than most Contrary Polishes but it applied well.

Follow Contrary Polish, Llarowe and the A Box, Indied Facebook pages to stay up to date on the monthly boxes!

Contrary Polish Bright Lights, Small City Layered over NOPI This Blue is so You (1) Contrary Polish Bright Lights, Small City Layered over NOPI This Blue is so You (2)
I also layered it over a dark blue to see how it looked (which was gorgeous of course!)
I put one coat of Bright Lights, Small City over Nicole by OPI This Blue is So You.
I prefer it build up alone though, the layers show all the shimmery layers.

I hope you guys are all doing fantastic and having a really great week so far!
I still can't even believe that it is June!

Milani 2014 Nail Lacquers - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! I hope you all had a fantastic week! Any fun plans for this weekend?
We are going to the mall to get Skylar some new sandals and then heading to Home Depot.
Then we will hit the playground! Super fun plans, I know. We know how to party!

I've started to work out and eat healthier, which has made a huge improvement on how I've been feeling lately.
And I've lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks! Which is a pretty huge deal to me since my Hashimoto's is untreated
at the moment and I've failed miserably at losing any weight under the same circumstances in the past!
I have to take it easy until my gums are healed from my wisdom teeth extraction the other day, but I will be back at it soon!

The past six months have been really rough for me but things are finally feeling like they are falling into place.
I'll have insurance again next month so I'll be able to get my dosage sorted out and take my thyroid medicine again.
I can't wait to feel better. And If anybody else is trying to loose weight and on My Fitness Pal let me know below!
We can help each other stay on track! It's going to be a long ride for me but I finally feel like I can get there.
Practically bursting with motivation and optimism! Which is really weird for me honestly. But I'm loving it!

But on to the post :) - Today I have the Milani 2014 polishes on the blog today!

Milani White

______________________________________________________

I'm really loving this assortment of colors, and they all (other than White) had good formula's and applied easily.
The White in this collection was streaky and a little thin, I'd definitely recommend Milani's High Speed Fast Dry's white (White on the Spot) over this one. It's my go to white polish!

My favorites of these are Canyon Country, Mulberry Sugar, and Golden Romance.
Golden Romance is so gorgeous! It's hard to capture and just so much more stunning in person.
It also looks like a dupe for A England She Walks in Beauty! I need to do a proper comparison though.

Be sure to follow Milani on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Have you picked any of these up? Do you plan to?
Milani is my favorite drugstore brand and so well priced! I love their polishes and makeup so much!

Contrary Polish Love Lyrics Redux Collection - Swatches & Review!

Hi guys! How are you all doing today? I hope you are all doing well!
It seems that every time I post now I just want to say sorry for being such a bad blogger lately. :(
I wanted to start this year off fresh and strong but instead I'm more unmotivated than ever.
So I'm not forcing myself to blog because It takes all of the fun out of it. I'm behind on my reviews and I hope
my PR contacts don't hate me for it. I'm accepting less for review so it feels like less of an obligation.
I really just want it to become as fun again like it was when I started blogging. And I want to do more nail art.

I just wanted to say Thank You to you guys for following me, and sticking with me through my continuous ups and downs through life and blogging. As I've mentioned in the past depression is a big problem for me and has been for a very long time. Lately it has gotten even worse.. I didn't even think it could.
I'm trying very hard to stop letting depression dictate my life - my relationships with people and the things that I love but it is hard. It's saddening to have something so important to me that typically brings me such joy to feel more like a burden. The excitement just hasn't been here for me lately. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry and thank you.

As for today's post and the reason you are here...

Today's post is featuring the new Contrary Polish Love Lyrics Redux Collection!

Check out my swatches and macros below of this elegant spring collection.

You'll also see my short lived rounded nail shape, I've already filed them again but let me know what you think about them!

Colors by Llarowe Precious Metal & Rare Bear

Hi all! I realize I haven't been posting as much as I would like and I want to tell you all I am sorry!
My husband got a new promotion at work but in doing so him hours have changed drastically and I'm still trying to adjust to it being so different. He used to get home by 3 pm so he was home a lot, which opened up more free time for me.

Now he doesn't get home until after bedtime. I usually stay up late to blog and swatch but it's much harder to do now.
Sky doesn't sleep well by herself so it forces me to give up that free time I usually dedicated to myself.
Before my hubby had to wake up very early for work so he went to bed early so it was taken care of but now it's all wonky.

Anyway, needless to say I'm super behind. I already was before this and this just made it worse.
But it will be worthwhile, we can finally get insurance for me which I desperately need!
Hopefully I get to find a better "time slot" to do my blogging now, but it can be very hard with a clingy kid!

Okay enough rambling! For today's post I have two more gorgeous Colors by Llarowe polishes I purchased recently.
(And click here to see swatches of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!)

Bal Masque is available solely through the March A Box, Indied. Read more about A Box, Indied below.

Contrary Polish Bal Masque (4) Contrary Polish Bal Masque (3)
Bal Masque

Bal Masque is kind of a dusty cornflower blue with a tinge of purple, filled with golden microflake shimmer.

Bal Masque has a really great formula, it goes on very smooth and evenly.
It's a bit sheer and requires three coats for opacity, but it's also layerable.
I wore it built up on it's own.
