Guest Post from Jamie at Nails Adored!

Hi guys! Another guest post for you! This one is from Jamie! Check out her blog! http://www.nailsadored.com/

Hi everyone! My name is Jamie, and I’m coming to visit from Nails Adored! This is my first time writing a guest post, so please humor me if I mess up!  ;)
This actually started out as just a “practice” session with taping, but I loved the results so much and was just so sad when I had to take them off.
Polka dots. Red glitter. Glossy black. Is there anything better than that?? I think not! They are so sexy, and really remind me of the old vintage pin-up girls.
If you were going to try this you could make your red/top coat more opaque, but I loved the little hints of polka dots peeking through!
For this manicure, I used: Sally Hansen Black Out, China Glaze White on White, Orly Star Spangled

Guest Post with The Kracked Kat!

Hey guys! Today's guest post is from Shannon at http://thekrackedkat.blogspot.com/! I am in Kansas now! And I will be back On Nov 6th!

* ALL images belong to The Kracked Kat and Aren't mine*
Maggie was kind enough to ask me to create a Halloween manicure for her Halloween Event she is hosting all month long. My inspiration came from a pin I found on Pinterest of a set of false nails being sold on etsy.
I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Grass Slipper a bright lime green as a base coat.
Then I applied a thin coat of Color Club Smash Hit fracture polish.  Smash Hit is a black crackle finish polish.  I have found that the thinner the coat the more fractures you get on the nail.

A heavy coat of Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat allowed me to set a craft google eye onto the nail.  Once the top coat dried I applied another coat to "set" the eye in place.

My daughter sported these at a a Halloween party and got many compliments on them.

This is not the kind of manicure to wear if you are planning on wearing it a long time.  Eventually you will the google eyes will fall off due to over use and wear, but they are perfect for a special occassion, like a Halloween Party.

Essence-Blue Ray Swatches

Hey guys! Today's post is Essence-Blue Ray! I used 2 coats then a coat of SV.
Sorry about the shrinkage and tip wear, had this on 3 or so days now!
It is a really gorgeous color but I couldn't capture it as awesome as it is in person, in person it flashes purple too.
Just a super quick post, we are leaving really early on Friday morning so I'm packing and doing laundry and everything! but I have some guest posts lined up for you for when I am out of town! I will be back Nov 6th!

I'll try to get a post in tomorrow too before I leave! <3

Black Cats & Bats! Halloween Nails!

Hey guys! I have another Halloween themed manicure for you today! I really like how it came out even though it is a bit dark and hard to see the stamping's. But I think it works, Halloween is Dark, at night haha Makes sense to me :)

I used Bundle Monster Stamping plates again, this time BM-04 & BM-213! Again using Black Konad Polish!

The Polishes I Used are...
Kleancolor-Neon Purple (base color)
$OPI-Just a Little Dangerous
Zoya-Mimi, Pinta, & Julieanne
OPI-Grape..Set..Match
China Glaze-Mummy May I
Wet n Wild-Night Prowl
Milani-Hi-Res
Konad Black

Way more than I needed to haha, I planned to do a bad ass gradient but I was out of sponges to sponge them on, I seriously cut off a piece of a brand new kitchen sponge but it didn't work as well, Love the result still!

Hope every single one of you guys are having a good day today! And if you aren't I sincerely hope it gets better!

Also I will be going out of town (Hopefully anyway!) From the 28th-Nov4th ish! We are going to Kansas to visit family for Halloween, that is if the Army ever approves my hubbies leave paperwork!
That being said if some of you are interested in doing a guest post it would help me out! I want to try to get some posts scheduled but guest posts are good too! Let me know or email it to me at Sarahmaye@gmail.com

Spider Webs & Pumpkins

Well, Spiderwebs & Pumpkin to be exact lol :) I did a mani with stamping today! *GASP* I know it has been QUITE sometime since I have! Sorries! I just don't have a good work area so it can be a pain to, I usually just put my hand on my knee and paint or do the art that way, but with stamping I need a table and everything!

The spiderweb stamp didn't pick up and transfer completely, but I still love it. They also aren't lined up the same, but I kindof like them like this anyway! And my hubby pointed out a very good & valid point that spiderwebs are all different & not perfect anyway! So yeah :P lol

The Polishes I used are OPI-He's My Boo (2 coats as the basecoat), Then one coat of Icing-Tiger's Blood, Topped with Opi-Ya'll Come Back Ya Hear to make a Jelly Sammy :) Then Konad stamping polish in black for the webs & punkin!

I used Stamping Plates BM-222 (Pumpkin), & BM-13(Spiderwebs)
I really hope you guys like it! The brighter orange is more color accurate, but the photos kept coming out one of the other, it was more inbetween lol

Zoya-Reva!

It's been a while since I posted D: I was feeling uninspired, my nails were actually naked for three whole days!
Which for me is a long time! Hubby helped me choose what color to use, he picked Zoya-Reva.
According to him this is a perfect color for the fall :) I concur!

Also as you may have noticed I trimmed my nails way down! I miss then already, but I was having peeling issues. Oddly those issues started after using Nail Envy for a week or two, it helps most people but not me I guess!
Here is the description from the Zoya website- "Zoya Nail Polish in Reva can be best described as: A cool toned strawberry red with glowing golden metallic sparkle.  A very rich and luxurious looking gilded red."
I used three coats here, two covered perfectly but I added a third to cover the SV shrinkage, and I had been wearing this for a few days already, so I wanted to make sure it looked it's best!

Much more in love with this color than I expected to be! It flashes golden much more in person and is beautiful!

<3 you guys!

Glitter & Candy Corn :) Plus a dark Eye Look!

Hey guys! This was a quick Halloween themed mani, Originally I planned to do all the nails Candy corns but then I got lazy and just decided on a accent nail :P
I apologize for the glitter! i did my absolute best to try to remove the glitter by my cuticles! I used hand scrub 4 times! Soaked them everything and it wasn't going anywhere!

The polishes I used are Milani One-Purple Gleam, Opi-He's My Boo, Sinful Colors-Snow Me White, & Zoya-Pippa

For some extra fun here is a eye look I did a few days ago! I am also in a Makeup facebook group and there are weekly Challenges! I definitely wanted to join in on this one especially because I never wear dark makeup so I wanted to test it out! I used Madd Style Cosmetics-Kitty Wumpous, Urban Decay-Blackout & Shiro Cosmetics-Gengar. And of course primer (Toofaced Shadow Insurance) Mascara (Loreal-Million Lashes) & Eyeliner (Urband Decay-Perversion)

Hope you liked the post!

Shatter Splatter Mani! +holo topcoat!

Hello! =]
Today's Manicure is a Splatter one! Using Crackle & Shatter polishes!

For those who don't know how to do Splatter mani's Here is the gist! You take straws (I use full sized ones, cut in half), dip them into the bottle of polish & blow it onto your base color for a really cool effect!

It came in my mind to try it with Shatter/Crackle polish to see how it came out!
I am really digging this Mani!

I tape around my nails because this is a mess, and it wastes some polishes but Idc I think it looks neat!
Plus who am I kidding I have tons of polish lol!

The pictures aren't the best, so bear with them! I wasn't very happy with any of the pictures but I am too lazy to retake them!  I might in a few and add them. Man it is hard to get pictures of my Non picture hand! Especially with a Canon Rebel Dslr!

Here is my Left Hand.

No the best cleanup hehe

& My Right Hand! ( Which I admittedly don't take as well care of as my picture one *hides*)

Both my thumb nails are looking wonky atm, I get annoyed with them and clip them off or they break
D: Can't stand having long thumb nails, it makes it too hard to take out contacts!

& of course here are the polishes I used!
Top row L-R: China Glaze-Grape Pop, China Glaze-Latticed Lilac, & China Glaze-Lightening Bolt.
Bottom Row L-R: Opi-Black Shatter, OPI-Silver Shatter, & Seche Vite topcoat.

After I typed this up I decided to add some holo topcoat!

Mmm look at that scattered holo goodness!!

I hope everybody's day has been spectacular!
-Sarah!

Yesterdays Small Haul!

Very small haul, but oh well! I went to Sally's & Kmart yesterday and picked up this stuff!

3 China Glaze polishes from the Metro Collection-Loft-y Ambitions, Westside Warrior & Urban-Night.
Milani-Purple Gleam & Purple Outline nail art polsih.

I picked up the Poshe topcoat, I have been meaning to try it out I have heard great things!
And I got a free Poshe Cuticle Care for buying the TC!  Woot!

Used all of my cotton balls so I got some cotton rounds, there have a outside layer type thing on them and I wanted to see if they would leave less lint then the balls! Seem okay so far, I don't think they will be 100% Lint free but they seem to be a massively huge improvement next to cotton balls!

That's what I did today! And I went to Hobby Lobby! I went to Kmart to look for Maybelline Cool Couture and Purple Trend but no luck! I've looked at like 8 stores now :(

Today we are headed to Nashville to go to the Mall there and get our daughter some new clothes!
She is growing so fast now!! Maybe I will find something good in Sephora :D
