Milani 2014 Nail Lacquers - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! I hope you all had a fantastic week! Any fun plans for this weekend?
We are going to the mall to get Skylar some new sandals and then heading to Home Depot.
Then we will hit the playground! Super fun plans, I know. We know how to party!

I've started to work out and eat healthier, which has made a huge improvement on how I've been feeling lately.
And I've lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks! Which is a pretty huge deal to me since my Hashimoto's is untreated
at the moment and I've failed miserably at losing any weight under the same circumstances in the past!
I have to take it easy until my gums are healed from my wisdom teeth extraction the other day, but I will be back at it soon!

The past six months have been really rough for me but things are finally feeling like they are falling into place.
I'll have insurance again next month so I'll be able to get my dosage sorted out and take my thyroid medicine again.
I can't wait to feel better. And If anybody else is trying to loose weight and on My Fitness Pal let me know below!
We can help each other stay on track! It's going to be a long ride for me but I finally feel like I can get there.
Practically bursting with motivation and optimism! Which is really weird for me honestly. But I'm loving it!

But on to the post :) - Today I have the Milani 2014 polishes on the blog today!

______________________________________________________

I'm really loving this assortment of colors, and they all (other than White) had good formula's and applied easily.
The White in this collection was streaky and a little thin, I'd definitely recommend Milani's High Speed Fast Dry's white (White on the Spot) over this one. It's my go to white polish!

My favorites of these are Canyon Country, Mulberry Sugar, and Golden Romance.
Golden Romance is so gorgeous! It's hard to capture and just so much more stunning in person.
It also looks like a dupe for A England She Walks in Beauty! I need to do a proper comparison though.

Be sure to follow Milani on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Have you picked any of these up? Do you plan to?
Milani is my favorite drugstore brand and so well priced! I love their polishes and makeup so much!

Pahlish August Duo - Old Fires Were Burning - Swatches & Review!

Hi all! Today's post is featuring the Pahlish LE August Duo "The Old Fires Were Burning"

*Products in this post were sent to me for the purpose of a 100% honest unbiased review.*
Pahlish August Duo Pahlish Slow Like Honey Pahlish August Duo 2013 (1)
Slow Like Honey - Three thin coats.

"a pale almond nude/putty cream with copper shimmer and green glassflecks"

Pahlish Heavy With Mood Pahlish August Duo 2013 (2)
Heavy With Mood - One coat + a little glitter placement.

"a clear based glitter topper with copper metallic glitters in several sizes, small moss green hex,
and medium midnight green squares accented by sparse gold shimmer"

_______________________________________________________

Slow Like Honey is an absolutely gorgeous almond cream color, a perfect
neutral!
It applied a little streaky (as most cream colors do.)
If  you have Milani Almond Bliss it's MUCH easier to work with that that.
Two slightly thicker coats would probably work fine but I prefer to use three thin ones.

Heavy With Mood is awesome and can be used over so many colors, I want to pair it with orange!
It spreads well and has just the right amount of glitter. I love the copper glitter with the green!

I really love this duo, they go so well together but you can still use them with so many other polishes!
Slow Like Honey is a great staple color!

You can purchase this duo HERE from the Pahlish Etsy Shop for $15.00!

It will only be available until August 31st so hurry and go grab it!!

What do you guys think of this Duo?
I'm loving seeing more indies doing creme polishes lately!

CrowsToes - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! For today's post I have seven polishes from CrowsToes to show you!
I tried to find a crow for the macros but I have no idea if it's right so ignore that, close enough to me, lol.

*Products in this post were sent to me for the purpose of a 100% honest unbiased review.*
CrowsToes Macros (1)

CrowsToes Bottle Shot

CrowsToes Bunny Slope
Bunny Slope - One coat over Sation Prairie Fairy.

"A mix of white, silver and opalescent glitters mixed in a clear base."
CrowsToes Frods Breath
Frog's Breath - One coat over CrowsToes Season of the Witch.

A glitter topper with gold glitter and various green glitters.

CrowsToes Heartless (1)
Heartless - One coat over Sation Queenie.

"A mix of holographic and deep berry micro glitters. I dare you to find one heart shaped glitter in there."

CrowsToes Lil Miss Sunshine
Lil Miss Sunshine - Three coats.

"A purple shimmer polish with color-shifting shimmer/micro-flakes that shift from silver to purple to green to blue."

CrowsToes Milquetoast
Milquetoast - Three coats.

"A white-based glitter polish with various sizes of metallic copper hex pieces and holographic copper micro-glitter."

CrowsToes Season of the Witch
Season of the Witch - Three coats.

"A black-based green flake polish with color-shifting flakes that go from green to purple/fuchsia. This isn't glitter, it's flakes!"

CrowsToes Voodoo
Voodoo - One coat over China Glaze Fancy Pants.

"Purple, orange and green glitters in a clear base"

_______________________________________________________

The formulas on the glitters are like all CrowsToes glitters so they are a bit thick which is because they are made with uncut suspension base so the wearer can thin the polish to their desired viscosity.
I used them at the original formulas and dabbed the glitter on. I might think Voodoo and Frog's Breath a little.

Heartless, Lil Miss Sunshine, Milquetoast, and Season of the Witch all applied perfectly!
The formulas on the above were super easy to apply.

Llarowe for $13.00 each or from Overall Beauty for $12.00 each.

Follow the CrowsToes blog, The Polished Crow!

CrowsToes Collage (1)
CrowsToes Macros (2)
Here is a better macro shot, the Crow one was more for cuteness :)
Which of these do you like best!? I'm in love with Heartless!

There are not your typical creme polishes, almost all of these have a jelly quality to it, some more than others.
The formula on all of these is pretty good, they are sheer due to the jelly quality so some require three coats.
They go on a little patchy at first but even out. A few (like Dama da Noite dry to a matte/rubber looking finish)

Black Jack is a paint though, it didn't dry smoothly there were specs of something that made it have a few bumps.  I'd recommend them all but Black Jack.

Jade Nail Polish is available from purchase though Llarowe.
These are priced very affordable at only $5.00 ea.
