Hi guys! How are you all doing? What are you guys up to this weekend?
I'm still doing well, just trying to stay motivated with my health kick lately!
Not doing too shabby, 7 lbs down! And my belated Mother's Day gift will get here today!
It's an elliptical :D Not exactly a very fun gift but one I wanted really bad that will be really useful for us both.

Today's post is featuring the 2014 Milani Gold Label polishes!
You guys have probably already seen these a bunch and a long time ago,
but I swear I'm trying to catch up and stay motivated in all aspects right now! :)


Showy Sea-Green - Two coats.


Popping Pink - Three coats.


Splendid Strawberry - Three coats.


Colorful Coral - Three coats.


Vivid Violet - Two coats.


Powerful Periwinkle - Two coats.


Sugar Coated - One coat over Milani Blue Zoom.


Sugar Coated - One coat over Milani Showy Sea-Green.


Sugar Rush - One coat over Milani Canyon Country.


Sugar Burst - One coat over Milani Heather.


Sugar High - One coat over a gradient made with Showy Sea-Green, Aqua Brisk, and Power Periwinkle.


Sugar Cane - One coat over Milani Vivid Violet.


Sugar Rim - One coat over Milani Power Periwinkle.


Sugar Rim - One coat over Milani Peach Innocence, topcoated and mattified!

I love the cremes in this collection so much! Since I use very thin coats a few needed a third coat.
But I think that they are definitely do able with two thicker coats.

I like all of the glitters with the exception of Sugar Cane. I can get behind bar glitter on occasion but...
This polish just doesn't do it for me. Sugar Rush is a little sparser than I'd prefer but I love the glitter combo in it.
The rest had really great coverage and dispersed really well.

My favorites are Colorful Coral, Splendid Strawberry and Sugar Rush!
The glitters aren't anything to go crazy over but they are nice.

Happy Hands Are You Afraid of the Dark Halloween Collection 2013 - Swatches & Review

Hi all! Today's post the the Are You Afraid of the Dark? Halloween Collection from Happy Hands Nail Polish!
I'm so mad at myself for not remembering any specific Are You Afraid of the Dark? episodes right now!
I definitely remember the show but apparently my memory crapped out on retaining all of those memories :(
Either that or I have mixed them up with Goosebumps!



Laughing in the Dark - Three coats.

"It’s the most fun in the park when you’re laughing in the dark… Don’t be scared while wearing this purple
jelly with neon green, yellow, red, and purple glitters, inspired by Zeebo the cigar-smoking clown."

Laughing in the Dark went on unevenly for me, the base is really smooth but the glitters made it a little clumpy when it was layered so it didn't go on perfectly smooth. Since the formula wasn't perfect I decided to layer it and I prefer it that way!


Two coats of  Laughing in the Dark over Illamasqua Prosperity.


Super Specs - One coat plus a little dabbing over Cult Nails Lamestain.

"Use this glitter topcoat to see into another dimension (but don’t say I didn’t warn you!)
This polish is packed with holographic silver glitter, iridescent glitter, purple shimmer, and green flecks."

Super Specs went on perfect and smooth! I love the purple micro shimmer!

One coat of Super Specs over The Midnight Society.


The Midnight Society - Four thin coats.

"Submitted for your approval, this is a glow-in-the-dark blue jelly (and it also glows blue) with micro iridescent glitters.
I declare this meeting of the Midnight Society closed."

The Midnight Society has a great formula, it is a little sheer and dries semi matte.
It looks slightly uneven before you add topcoat but with topcoat it looks perfect.
The VNL is slightly more apparent in the photo than in person.

The Tale of the Dark Music - Three coats.

"Won’t you come play with me? This is a black jelly filled with microglitters in red, fuchsia, purple,
and blue, and reminiscent of something evil lurking behind that cellar door."

The Tale of the Dark Music is a bit sheer too so I decided to layer it below.
But the formula is amazing, it went on smooth and evenly.

Two coats of The Tale of the Dark Music over Black. (I can't remember specifically which one.)

I really love this collection, especially The Midnight Society & Super Specs.
Those are my favorites but I love all four of them!

piCture pOlish Blogfest 2013!

Hey guys! It's that time of year again - piCture pOlish Blogfest!!
This year everybody will be doing nail art with the shades provided,
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!

Here is the nail art look I came up with! But before I get into how I made this look,
and my very first video tutorial attempt These are the three shades I used!


Heavy Metal  - Two coats.

Honey Dew - Three thin coats.

Hot Lips - Three very thin coats over White.

Here is my tutorial, my very first one so yeah it's super far from perfect!
There is also a pictorial thing below int his post!



Here is everything I used!

• Step 1 -
  Start with nail strengthener and base coat. I used Nailtek II and Orly Bonder.
  Then apply your base colors. I used Honey Dew on my ring & thumb nails.
  I applied a white base to my pointer, Hot Lips on my middle nail, and Heavy Metal on my pinky nail.
• Step 2 -  
  Frame your pinky nail using Hot Lips and a small nail art brush.
  Draw a X shape on your ring nail using Hot Lips, then fill in the sides.
  Draw a triangle on your middle nail using Honey Dew.
• Step 3 -
  Reapply Hot Lips to your "framed" pinky nail and the sides of the X on your ring nail for opacity.
  Using a small nail art brush and Heavy Metal, fill in the triangle areas on your middle & ring nails.
• Step 4 - 
  Apply Honey Dew and Hot Lips to a wedge makeup sponge and apply to your white pointer nail.
  Repeat this process 3-5 times until your desired look is acquired!
• Step 5 -
  Using top coat and a wax pencil (or whatever you use to pick up studs and rhinestones)
  pick up the studs one at a time and apply to your pinky and ring finger nails.
  I used a 2mm circle neon pink stud on my pinky nail and a 2mm black square stud on my ring nail.
• Step 6 - 
  Use a small clean portion of the same wedge sponge you used above and dab Heavy Metal
  onto your thumb nail. Once dry apply topcoat to all of your nails and you are good to go!

Sponged on over A England St. George, the accent nail has three coats.

"Discoball Silver Holographic (w Stars) Glitter Polish!"

Cristina

One coat over Barielle Head of the Class Green.

"Deep Forest Green w/ a hint of red and fuchsia glitter Polish!"

Crystal

One coat over Contrary Polish Sand

"Copper Brown Glitter Polish."

Jasmine

One coat over Barielle Magna Cum Laude Turquoise.

"Aquamarine, light blue and green Glitter Polish"

Josephine

One coat over Barielle Smarty Pants Pink.

"Pink-Orange and a Hint of Blue Glitter Polish."

Jovie

One coat over Sation Rock A Guy Blue and Starlight & Sparkles Nayru.

"Pink Opal Holographic Glitter Polish! Similar to Cassandra"

I can't remember what pink this is/was but here's another combo with Jovie!

Karina 

Two coats.

"Dark Red Burgundy, Wine Glitter Polish!"

Just like all the other Shimmer Polishes I've tried these all had terrific formula's!

The only thing I could think of to improve is maybe more stars in Alice, 

but seriously impressive formulas and dispersion! They really glide on evenly, so easily.
