Reindeer Nail Art!

Hi guys! Today's post is some quick nail art! I've been wanting to redo Reindeer nails for quite a while now.
My original  post here is really old and just not very good haha

I updated it a little... it still didn't come out perfect but definitely an improvement!

A Fun Fishnet French Manicure!

Hey guys! Guess what today is? Closing day!!! Today we will be homeowners! O:

Today's post is a copy cat manicure that I saw Lauryn of Polish Revolution post on her Instagram!
See her Butter London inspired manicure without the stamping here, and with it here!

I like Lauryn's better but scroll down to see mine below!

Black French Manicure Fishnet French Manicure (1) Fishnet French Manicure (2)

I started with nail strengthener, then used a small striping brush & A England Camelot for the French Tips and Half Moons.
For the stamping I used MoYou London Pro Collection 02 XL plate and Konad stamping polish in black.

What do you guys think of this mani? It smudged a tiny bit and it's not quite perfect.
I don't really ever do French Tips or Half Moons so I need to more to get the practice!

Also Is there a name for a French Manicure with Half Moons?
I haven't found one so if there isn't I think we should name it!

Breaking Bad Nail Art! Yeah, BITCH!

Hey guys! Any other Breaking Bad fans excited and sad today? I know I am!
Such a weird mixture of emotions lol!

So last night I was procrastinating, I didn't feel like painting my nails or swatching but then I was like..
Why not do Breaking Bad nail art for the finale?! It's been on my nail art to do list anyway!

Man I haven't done nail art in a while, It's crazy how fast I get that "rusty" feeling.
So these are far from perfect but hell it was a last minute decision at like 2 am and I did my best :) Enjoy!!

Thumb: The Los Pollos Hermanos Logo, except just the chicken heads
(There is no way I could have for their entire bodies! Heck their heads aren't even recognizable lol!)
Polishes I used:  Zoya Pippa, Jancyn, and Thandie along with Sparitual Clay. I used those for the gradient! I also used Milani White on the Spot. The rest was acrylic paints.

Pointer & Middle: The Breaking Bad show Logo!
Polishes I used: Essie Mojito Madness topped with Elevation Polish Wuyi Mountain as the base color.
Chin Glaze Holly-Day and Milani White on the spot for the logo.

Ring: Heisenberg! (I saw this tutorial here!)
Zoya Phoebe topped with Mosheen as the base. I used black acrylic paint to draw Heisenberg.
I kept screwing up on him so I actually painted him onto a pain stamper and made a decal :)

Pinky: The Golden Moth Chemical Logo that is on their Methylamine Barrels.

I used a combination of Black and yellow acrylic paint with A England Camelot and Zoya Pippa!

Who else can't wait for the finale? I can't wait but at the same time I don' want it to end :(
I rewatched the whole show in the past few weeks and I'm even more sad now lol!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I hope you all have a A1 day!

Also,
Please refrain from leaving spoilers below for those who haven't seen the show!

Happy Birthday Felicia! Felicia Day Nail Art!

Hey guys! today's post is to commemorate Felicia Day!
I'm not sure how many of you know this (or how many of you know who she is)
But I'm a super big fan fan girl of Felicia!
She is super awesome and I love everything she does, and completely respect her to the fullest!
It's her birthday and I've been wanting to do nail art about her for almost a year,
I planned to for Dragoncon but didn't get to go :(

Here's a rundown of what is on each nail.

  • Pointer - The Flog Logo, though she isn't currently making them anymore I highly recommend you to go watch them! I miss her Fave Fives!
  • Middle - This one is my favorite! It's Codex's gear/costume from The Guild!
  • Ring - The Geek & Sundry Logo, here is the Youtube channel. It's amazing, just watch everything she does.
  • Pinky - I wanted to do a nail for The Guild but I couldn't fit it all and decided to do the G!

Kbshimmer Clearly On Top, A England Holy Grail, Zoya - Ziv, Jaqueline, Chyna, & Purity, China Glaze Adventure Red-y, and Illamasqua Nuture. Along with various Acrylic paints!

My mani isn't near perfect but I'm really happy with it!
Anybody else HUGE FD fans?

Just like all the other Shimmer Polishes I've tried these all had terrific formula's!
The only thing I could think of to improve is maybe more stars in Alice,
but seriously impressive formulas and dispersion! They really glide on evenly, so easily.

Shimmer Polish can be purchased from the Etsy and the Shimmer website!
Shimmer polishes are full size and retail for $12.00 each.

Be sure to follow Shimmer Polish on Facebook and Twitter!

Eleganza
"a creamy light purple base with brown, copper, and holographic orange and turquoise glitter."

Three thin coats shown above.
I think I'd prefer this polish layered a bit more than on it's own but it's gorgeous. The glitter mix works so well!
Polish Revolution Florals For Spring (5) Polish Revolution Florals For Spring (3) Polish Revolution Florals For Spring (6)
Florals... For Spring?
"a creamy light blue base with orange, blue, periwinkle and lilac."

This is just so cute and perfect, so springy!
I love how Lauryn uses peculiar glitter combos, but they always work! She is mad talented.
Polish Revolution Glitterbox (5) Polish Revolution Glitterbox (3) Polish Revolution Glitterbox (2) Polish Revolution Glitterbox (1)
Glitterbox
"a mix of iridescent and holographic square glitters in a variety of sizes. The holographic squares are pink, blue, purple and silver."

Glitterbox  is simply amazing, just gorgeous! I used one coat above over A England Lancelot.
I'd have loved it without the shimmer but with it, it is a knockout!!It doesn't disperse the easiest ever, but application is very far some being difficult.
Polish Revolution Grin and Bare it (3) Polish Revolution Grin and Bare it (2) Polish Revolution Grin and Bare it (4)
Grin and Bare It
"a milky nude base, brown, copper, iridescent and periwinkle glitter is sure to have you smiling, even if it is a little too chilly to show some skin."

Here is three thin coats on its own. Very sheer but beautiful, I also layered it over a blue below!

Summer State of Mind
"a hot coral jelly has turquoise holographic hexes, metallic turquoise squares, matte white and pink hexes, and a hot pink flaky shimmer that shows really well in direct light and the sun."

Summer State of Mind is shown with three thin coats above, and is officially my favorite coral polish I own! Polish Revolution Zombie Gardens (3) Polish Revolution Zombie Gardens (2)
 Zombie Gardens
"a creamy gray base with purple, pink, yellow, green, yellow and turquoise glitter. Like flowers on a rainy day."

I used thee thin coats to perfect coverage.
I just love this SO incredibly much! I picture a zombie munching on colorful Easter eggs! hehe
Or Easter bunnies.. :O
