Zoya Spring Magical Pixies - Swatches & Review!

Hello All! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far!
Today I have the Spring Magical Pixies from Zoya!

I'm sure you have all seen these so far, and probably everything else I have been/will be posting but I swear Iwill catch up..eventually haha! Sometimes I just really wish there was more time in the day!
I swear I feel like the days are going by so fast lately. I guess I have just been doing more than usual, idk!


Cosmo - Two coats.

"Cosmo can be best described as a silver crystal sparkle, textured PixieDust with mega hex iridescent particles."


Lux - Two coats.

"Lux can be best described as a rose quartz sparkle textured PixieDust with mega hex iridescent particles." 


Vega - Two coats.

"Vega can be best described as a blue opal sparkle, textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Iridescent Particles."

So the texture nail trend has grown on me more and more overtime since it first emerged, I never expected it to but..
I just don't prefer chunky textures like these personally. They went on very nicely and wear well but they aren't my favorite. Out of these three I like Lux the most, probably because it seems a bit less chunky to me lol. 

They are really pretty and sparkly, but not my personal favorite for texture polishes. What do you guys think?

My Fourth of July Mani!

Hey guys! Today's post is my 4th of July Manicure! It's pretty simple, initially I planned to add some stamping with my new Bundle Monster Holiday set but I actually ended up really liking it as is.

I used Zoya Chyna & Liberty!

I was inspired by the amazing Victoria from Manicurator and her cute Pinwheel nail art!
Unlike her I just free handed mine out of laziness, lol! And I wanted them curved a bit.
It's a little messy but really cute in person! And I have to say textures are seriously growing on me
...I really didn't see than coming.


Just try to ignore the fact that I don't take as good care of my dominant hand lol
And I almost keep they shorter D: Just more comfy. And I can't pose my right hand for shit LOL

China Glaze Texture Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today's post is of three of the new China Glaze Texture polishes!

I hope everybody enjoys the upcoming weekend! I'm out of town hanging out at my sisters with my brother, hubby, daughter and nephews! We played Settlers of Catan for the first time last night and that was really fun! I lost but still :P Saturday I'll be back home and then I'm going out to dinner with some fellow polish lovers in KC! Anybody else have plans this weekend??

In The Rough - Two coats.

"Light lime green with textured grit,"

Itty, Bitty, & Gritty - Two coats.

 "Melon with textured grit."

Of Coarse! - Two coats.

"Bright cobalt blue with textured grit."

These polishes were all very consistent formula wise, a tad thick but very easy to apply!
I used two coats for each of them but they just barely needed the second coat!
I'd recommend applying thinly and letting the polish dry fully in between coats. If you don't wait for it to dry completely before adding the second coat it takes a much longer time to dry and get as gritty :)
I tried these with topcoat but I like them better gritty! (I forgot to take photos, sorry!)

I'm slowly growing on textured polishes more and more and I really love the bright cheery shades that China Glaze released. These were very cute especially in person! I haven't done a wear heard wonderful things about the lasting power on these babies!

Zoya PixieDust Collection Top coated + Simple Nail Art

Here is the Zoya Pixie Dust Collection top coated!*
With the exception of Vespa because I accidentally took it off before I top coated it and I didn't realize until I was already editing pictures. Sorry!

Here is my first ever attempt at a fishtail mani, with and without topcoat.
It came out pretty rough but it could have been worse!
I used Nyx, London and Dahlia.

Zoya PixieDust Spring Collection - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today's post if the new Zoya PixieDust Spring Collection!
I will be 100% honest, I'm really not feeling this textured trend, But I was pleasantly surprised. 

Chyna, Dahlia, Godiva, London, Nyx, & Vespa.

Chyna

"a red dazzle with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I used two coats for full opacity. This is my absolute favorite in this collection. 

I love dark vampy blood reds and this made me change my mind of textured polishes.

 

Dahlia

"a black beauty with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

Just like Chyna, Dahlia only required two coats for full opacity. This is another favorite for sure.

Godiva

"a soft nude with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I really like Godiva, a nice pretty delicate nude.  Required three thin coats.
But my foodie brain thinks that they should have made Godiva a chocolate brown :)

London

"a fog gray with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I used three thin coats of London. I apologize because my swatches aren't 100% color accurate.
I didn't realize it at the time but I feel like it captured London a bit blue toned and darker than it is IRL.
The first picture is more accurate, but not perfect >.< 

Nyx

"a perfect periwinkle with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I used three thin coats. Nyx is really pretty, flattering on my skin tone. (Imo)

Vespa

"a Mint Kiss with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

Again, I used three thin coats.

Textured polishes aren't my thing, and I probably wouldn't have tried any at all but Zoya changed my mind.
I don't LOVE them (textured polishes in general), but they are growing on me. 

Chyna is amazing, and I can't imagine not having it now that I do!

I had no idea what to expect with the formula since these were my first textured polishes, but they went on very smooth.
