Polka Dot Fishnet Nail Art - Inspired by ModCloth!

Hi guys! It's been a long time.. I know! Sorry about that. (I've missed you!)

I was recently contacted by ModCloth about doing a nail art look inspired by their dresses and it gave me the push of motivation and inspiration to post! I completely adore their products so I was really excited to have been contacted!

Then while browsing I came across the With Only a Wink Dresses and it reminded me of my Fishnet French Mani.
Then I saw the polka dot version and I knew I had to try it! I've been itching to do another version for quite a while anyway.

I started off this mani with Rica Whiteout, and using a nail art brush I freehanded on the french tips and half moons.
I used Whiteout to stamp the fishnet pattern with MoYou's  XL Pro Collection Plate 01.
And the Polka Dots were done with a dotting tool, Rica Black out, and Zoya Sooki.

I hope you guys liked this manicure! Is anybody else obsessed with ModCloth?
I love practically everything they have, if only I had more money! And I really love and appreciate that they offer Plus Size clothing. It can be damn hard to find cute fashionable clothes that fit me sometimes!
I hope that you are all well and having a wonderful summer! <3

Zoya Spring Magical Pixies - Swatches & Review!

Hello All! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far!
Today I have the Spring Magical Pixies from Zoya!

I'm sure you have all seen these so far, and probably everything else I have been/will be posting but I swear Iwill catch up..eventually haha! Sometimes I just really wish there was more time in the day!
I swear I feel like the days are going by so fast lately. I guess I have just been doing more than usual, idk!

Zoya Cosmo
Cosmo - Two coats.

"Cosmo can be best described as a silver crystal sparkle, textured PixieDust with mega hex iridescent particles."

Zoya Lux
Lux - Two coats.

"Lux can be best described as a rose quartz sparkle textured PixieDust with mega hex iridescent particles."

Zoya Vega
Vega - Two coats.

"Vega can be best described as a blue opal sparkle, textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Iridescent Particles."

______________________________________________________

So the texture nail trend has grown on me more and more overtime since it first emerged, I never expected it to but..
I just don't prefer chunky textures like these personally. They went on very nicely and wear well but they aren't my favorite. Out of these three I like Lux the most, probably because it seems a bit less chunky to me lol.

They are really pretty and sparkly, but not my personal favorite for texture polishes. What do you guys think?

Do you prefer the regular pixies or another style of texture polish all together? Let me know in the comments section!

You can purchase these from http://www.zoya.com/ for $10.00 each!

Be sure to stay up to date with Zoya on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!

Pastel Easter Gradient

Hi guys! I'm really excited about today's post! Which is a big deal since lately I just haven't been as excited about blogging, polish or anything really. I just couldn't wait to share my Easter manicure with you guys!

I really hope you guys like it as much as me! I think it's perfect :D I'm so obsessed with gradients lately.

Also my Blogiversary is coming up on the 22nd! I really wanted this year's giveaway to be on time but I haven't received everything for it yet, but hopefully it'll be up before the end of the month! I will keep you guys updated!

Pastel Gradient Easter Gradient (2) Easter Gradient (3)
For this gradient I used the sponge method (painting strips on polish onto the sponge and smushing it on the nails) I used the following colors over a white base.

Barielle - Banana Drop, Barielle -Pink Flip-Flops, Orly - Lollipop, Zoya - Blu, and Bondi - Lady Liberty.
Barely of  Lady Liberty even got on the nail though. I used too many colors lol!

After that I was trying to decide what to put on top, between China Glaze Fairy Dust,
Lynnderella Connect the Dots, Elevation Haba Xueshan or nail stamping. I chose Haba Xueshan!

Plaid Christmas Nail Art!

Hey guys! How are you all doing today? Have you done any Christmas manicures yet?

I tried my hand at some Christmas nail art! I've been wanting to try Plaid nail art for a while now!
I used my three new Elevation Polishes - Limestone, Volcanic Dust & Alpine Heights!
I used Christmas as an excuse to buy them hehe :)

I used the tutorial here from Emily (The Lacquerologist)

First I started off with Limestone as my base color, as seen below!

Elevation Polish Limestone (2) Elevation Polish Limestone (1)

Then I used Volcanic Dust for Steps 2 &3 of Emily's tutorial.
Then Limestone again for Step 4 and 5.
Followed by Alpine Heights and then I used a little but of Zoya Ziv.

See how it turned out below!

Zoya Naturel - Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today's post is the new Zoya Naturel Collection!
It's really funny when I think back a couple of years ago, I thought that nudes and neutrals were super boring.
But now I really love them! In fact I was so excited for this collection when I saw it!

They are pretty on their own or with a little glitter or shimmer on top, great for nail art, etc
I really want to do a pretty silver or gold glitter gradient on Taylor.

If you don't have any neutrals but want to try them out, Zoya makes some of my favorites.
And this would be a wonderful starter set!

Zoya Chantal
Chantal Three thin coats.

"a delicious full-coverage, French Vanilla cream."

Zoya Taylor
TaylorThree thin coats.

"a  full-coverage, light toffee cream."

Zoya Rue
RueThree thin coats.

"a full-coverage, boudoir blush cream."

Zoya Brigitte
Brigitte Three thin coats.

"a full-coverage, bombshell mauve cream."

Zoya Odette
Odette Three thin coats.

"a full-coverage, sultry orchid maroon cream."

Zoya Normani
Normani Three thin coats.

"a full-coverage, sable mauve cream."
______________________________________________________

I've said this many times but I use thin coats, I think thinner than average. Just how I prefer to polish :)
So I used three coats for all of these polishes, but I think that you could get away with many of these with two coats.

I really love this collection and the formulas went on smooth for me.
The lighter shades were a tiny streaky at first but leveled out perfectly for me.

I have seen these on many bloggers so far and they seem to be very flattering on a big array of skin tones.

I as quite surprised that they all looked good on me!

My favorites (though I love them all!) are Taylor, Brigitte, and Odette!

This collection is available as a whole for $54 or you can purchase each separately for $9.00 each.

You can purchase them from the Zoya website here!

Be sure to stay up to date with Zoya through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!

What are your thoughts on this collection? Planning to buy it or pass?

Is anybody else like me who grew to love neutral polishes?

If my nail polish addiction has taught me anything it was to love and appreciate all colors!

Holiday Nail Stamping! Ornaments & Ribbons!

Hey guys! Who else is super excited for Christmas!? I can't wait!
Me and my husband don't really celebrate it for ourselves but we do for our daughter,
and there is nothing more fun than watching her on Christmas morning!

It's funny how different it is as an adult, and as a parent!
Fun in such a different way :) I have everything all wrapped and ready!

So I was feeling the holiday spirit and decided to do this stamping recently!
I wanted to post it in my sooner but I couldn't find one of the stamping plates I used.. Oops!
But I have since found it, so here it is!

Zoya Zenith Winter Collection - Swatches & Review!

Hey guys! Can you believe that it is already December?! I really can't!
Today I have the Zoya Zenith 2013 Winter Collection to show you!

P.S. If you haven't already entered the Happy Haul-idays Giveaway then go enter here!

Zoya Belinda
Belinda - Three thin coats.

"Belinda can be best described as a full-coverage, cosmic purple metallic."

The formula on Belinda was sheer and went on a bit uneven and patchy for me.
When built up you couldn't tell though and it's opaque in 2-3 coats.

Zoya Cassedy
Cassedy - Two coats.

"Cassedy can best be described as a full-coverage, celestial pewter metallic."

Very smooth and surprisingly opague!

Zoya Dream
Dream - Three thin coats.

"Dream can best be described as a full-coverage, deep space blue with holographic glitter."

Dream is perfection! Dream and Payton are very similar and two of my favorites.
I just love the particles in these! The formula was amazing and easy to work with.

Zoya Mosheen (2) Zoya Mosheen (1)
Mosheen - One coat over Dream and Belinda.

"Mosheen can be best described as an astro ice blue topper, great for layering over other hues."

Mosheen is crazy sparkly and applies nice and easy.
Doesn't require any placement at all, just goes on even.

Zoya Payton
Payton - Three thin coats.

"Payton can be best described as a full-coverage, galactic cranberry with holographic glitter."

Simply stunning, Payton can be worn in two coats but it was a little sheer around the edges so I added a third.
Application was smooth and easy.

Zoya Seraphina
Seraphina - Three coats.

"Seraphina can best be described as a full-coverage, Polaris silver metallic."

The particles of shimmer can be annoying to get off your skin but this is a beauty!
Sheer but builds up beautifully.
______________________________________________________

This is a wonderful Zoya Collection, perfect for the winter and holidays without being to in your face about it.
Easy to wear year round! My personal  favorite is Dream (but I love all of these!)
Dream reminds me of some Picture Polishes! Seraphina is a favorite too!

Aside from Belinda, I don't think I own anything similar to the polishes in this collection!

You can purchase this collection from
http://www.zoya.com/ for $8 each or $48 for the whole collection.

Be sure to follow Zoya closely on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter, they are notorious for amazing deals and coupon codes especially this time of the year!

Polish Revolution Such a Drag Collection - Swatches & Review!

Press Sample Affiliate Link

Hello lovelies! Sorry for the serious lack of posting lately, I've been posting less and trying to catch up on swatches!
I'm trying hard to get back on my game, or hey maybe improve!

Today's post the the awesome Polish Revolution Such a Drag Collection!
This collection was inspired by RuPaul’s Drag Race! I haven't seen it before but maybe I should watch it?!
Polish Revolution Such a Drag Collection (2)
Polish Revolution Bad Ass Mother Tucker
Bad Ass Mother Tucker - One coat over China Glaze Mahogany Magic & Zoya Dree.

"If there is anything one can say about drag performers, it is this: they have confidence, and are genuine bad asses. This polish sparkles and shines like the personalities and abilities of the performers who have what it takes to be such a drag. This is a fine mix of turquoise holo, caramel, and iridescent glitter in a clear base."

Polish Revolution Having a Kiki
Having a Kiki - One coat over a grey Ombre! See the Ombre on it's own here.

Sephora Formula X Hyped, an Ombre and a Gradient!

Hi guys! Here is a quick post before my review!
I used these manicures as "undies" for the new Polish Revolution collection.
I thought I should post them before the review to avoid bulking up that post :)

Sephora Formula X Hyped
Sephora Formula X Hyped - Three coats.

This isn't a review post but I want to say really quickly that I was disappointed in this formula.
Definitely manageable, nothing too difficult but I guess I expected more from Sephora!
It just didn't apply very evenly. The formula was kind of a let down, but the color is gorgeous!

Gray Ombre
The colors used for this Ombre:
Finger Paints Stunning Stilettos, Zoya Kelly, Zoya Petra, and A England Camelot.

IMG_7968
And for this gradient I used Zoya Breezi, NOPI Khloe Had A Little Lam Lam, and China Glaze Holly Day.
I sponged them over a white base using the sponge painting method.

Okay be prepared to see these layered on and even more gorgeous!

Breaking Bad Nail Art! Yeah, BITCH!

Hey guys! Any other Breaking Bad fans excited and sad today? I know I am!
Such a weird mixture of emotions lol!

So last night I was procrastinating, I didn't feel like painting my nails or swatching but then I was like..
Why not do Breaking Bad nail art for the finale?! It's been on my nail art to do list anyway!

Man I haven't done nail art in a while, It's crazy how fast I get that "rusty" feeling.
So these are far from perfect but hell it was a last minute decision at like 2 am and I did my best :) Enjoy!!

Breaking Bad Nailart (1) Breaking Bad Nailart (2)

Thumb: The Los Pollos Hermanos Logo, except just the chicken heads
(There is no way I could have for their entire bodies! Heck their heads aren't even recognizable lol!)
Polishes I used:  Zoya Pippa, Jancyn, and Thandie along with Sparitual Clay. I used those for the gradient! I also used Milani White on the Spot. The rest was acrylic paints.

Pointer & Middle: The Breaking Bad show Logo!
Polishes I used: Essie Mojito Madness topped with Elevation Polish Wuyi Mountain as the base color.
Chin Glaze Holly-Day and Milani White on the spot for the logo.

Ring: Heisenberg! (I saw this tutorial here!)
Zoya Phoebe topped with Mosheen as the base. I used black acrylic paint to draw Heisenberg.
I kept screwing up on him so I actually painted him onto a pain stamper and made a decal :)

Pinky: The Golden Moth Chemical Logo that is on their Methylamine Barrels.

I used a combination of Black and yellow acrylic paint with A England Camelot and Zoya Pippa!

______________________________________________________

Who else can't wait for the finale? I can't wait but at the same time I don' want it to end :(
I rewatched the whole show in the past few weeks and I'm even more sad now lol!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I hope you all have a A1 day!

Also,
Please refrain from leaving spoilers below for those who haven't seen the show!

Zoya Satins Fall 2013 Collection - Swatches & Review!

Good morning guys! How are you today?
I'm good, my tooth still hurts pretty bad but I'm going to the dentist at 4!
Pretty nervous about it though, I'm thinking I need a root canal -_-

But yesterday was Skylar's 4th birthday! Yay! Though TBH we didn't do much, but her party is tomorrow!
It should be tons of fun!

We also went to the
Realtor yesterday to send in our negotiations to the sellers, lets hope they are awesome and nice and fix what we asked! I really hope they do because our lease is up soon and I don't think we even have time to find another house anymore >.< Not another we like as much anyway!

Well enough rambling! Today's post is the Zoya Satin Fall Collection!
Yes I'm behind I know! *hides*

Zoya Giovanna with Maria Luisa
One coat of Maria Luisa over Giovanna.

______________________________________________________

This collection is very pretty and full of saturated, magnificent jewel tones!
A few are a tiny bit brushstrokey (Channing, Claudine, Giovanna) but not enough to bother me at all.
All of these polishes applied nicely and most only needed two coats.
I can't recall a issue with any of them! Mason looks a bit off but I applied topcoat a tad too soon and it sort of smudged. Had nothing to do with the polish though! User error!

To reduce the risk of brushstrokes apply thin, slow coats!

My favorites are Mason, Neve and Maria Luisa! But I really love them all!
Channing is so fiery and gorgeous! I don't own anything like it!
