Happy Hands Springfield, USA Collection - Swatches & Review!

Hey guys! Sorry it's been slower with posting, for good reason though!
We have been looking at even more houses lately! Tomorrow we are putting in a offer on one that we love! (I hope we get it!!!) We have looked at 8 houses.. in the past three days alone /whew!

Anywho! Today's post is the fun cartoon-y Springfield, USA! Collection from Happy Hands!

Everything's Coming Up Milhouse - Three coats.

"If you don't already have a nerdy best friend to back up all of your mischievous pranks, maybe this polish will help! A bright medium-blue jelly filled with yellow, orange-red, plum, and blue glitters."


Everything's Coming Up Milhouse 2x coats over Zoya Breezi.


Krustofsky - Three coats.

"Hey hey hey! An ode to the disfunctional TV clown, this is a white jelly filled with yellow, blue, purple, orange, red, and green glitters."


Sector 7G - Three coats.

"A medium gray jelly with (not-quite glowing) neon green hexes, squares, and iridescent lime glitters. Even for the simplest safety inspector from Sector 7-G, this polish is nucular!"


Stupid Flanders - Two coats.

"An evergreen polish with brown, bright yellow, gray, and plum glitters inspired by everyone's favorite neighborino! (Feels like you're wearing nothing at all.. nothing at all.. nothing at all...)"


Worst. Polish. Ever. - One coat over Barielle Dinner at 8.

I absolutely love the colors and glitter combinations in this collection!
My favorite is Everything's Coming Up Milhouse, The blue, so perfect! <3
Sector 7G is another favorite! I love the base color mixed with the lime green glitters.

In Augusta where I grew up me,  my husband (then boyfriend) and friends would go see local bands play shows at a place called Sector 7G downtown, so I might be biased!
We had a lot of good times there, I had no idea the name was from the Simpsons!

Krustofsky was a little thick for three coats for me personally so I'm going to try it layered
over a white base next time,but other than that they all went on with ease.
 Especially Everything's Coming Up Milhouse, Sector 7G & and Stupid Flanders.
Kristi is amazing at making glitter toppers so Worst Polish Ever is far from what the name depicts!
It's amazing over so many different colors! I had tons of fun with it and a nail wheel :)
I have no idea how she makes them all so awesome without being repetitive!

Campfire Tales - Three coats.

"a red jelly with orange, red and yellow glitters in various sizes and both matte and metallic finishes."

 
Cloudless Night - Three coats.

"a black jelly polish with grey and blue glitter with silver shimmers/microflakes."

 
S'mores - Three coats.

"a brown based creme with brown, white and caramel glitters in various shapes and sizes,
with both matte and metallic finishes."
*S'mores is a revamped/reformulated updated version of a previous Oopsie Daisies Nail Polish, Fawn.

This is a really fun trio! Definitely screams Fall to me!
These polishes are all build-able with three coats but great for layering also.
The formula's on these three polishes were really great, especially Campfire Tales & Cloudless Night!
S'mores is a little glitter chunky for three coats so next time I will likely add a second coat of topcoat or layer it.
Cloudless Night is gorgeous on it's own and over black, It has more dimension alone though!

KBShimmer Swatches & Review - Part Two

Hey guys, today's post is Part Two with four more stunning polishes from KBShimmer!

Iris My Case - Three coats.
Iris My Case applied great, the glitters disperse perfectly and the formula was smooth.

"Iris, Lilacs, Violets are some of of the most beloved flowers  come spring, this pastel violet colored polish was inspired by all three.   The soft purple base is filled with glitters in pink, purple, white, periwinkle  and blue. If you are not a fan of large glitters, this polish is for you."


No Whine Left - Three coats.
Gorgeous, the blue glitters in No Whine Left really pop in the plum base!
Application was easy, a little streaky on the first coat but it evened out perfectly.

"A deep plum, almost burgundy wine color, this polish is  loaded with blue, aqua, fuchsia, and purple hex glitters in several sizes. The  glitters in this polish seem to pop out in different lights, adding a fun depth  to it.  This polish is more of a “crelly”, a cream with jelly  properties."


Toucan Touch This - Three coats.
I really love the mini bar glitters in this! Plus the color!
The glitters will pull if you don't let it dry in between coats but it applies very evenly.

"A chartreuse base, almost lime green in color starts  this bold polish out. Gold, green, teal, blue, and orange hex glitters, some  holographic and a fun punch. Micro teal, orange and blue bars are accented by  micro orange glitters.  The bar glitter is micro fine, and adds a sparkle  to the polish without the troubles of normal bar glitter."  


Witch Way? - Four coats. (I used very thin coats)
I felt like it needed the fourth coat but I apply coats very thin.
The formula on this applied super evenly and just so easy. I love this one so much!!

"After midnight, a full moon is lighting the night sky making it almost purple in color. Stars in different sizes sparkle and shine, like diamonds. This polish, with its deep grape color is full of holographic glitters made to mimic those diamond like stars."

Just like I said yesterday there is not a KBShimmer I own that I've been disappointed with,
hands down in my top ten favorite indies for the creativity and formulation.
I don't remember ever having to dab or place glitters with any of them, they just go on great!
My favorite of these for is Witch Way! Even being a little sheer it just has so much depth and is stunning.

Elevation Polish Huangshan, Uluru, and Tette + Nail Stamping!

Hey guys! Today;s post is showcasing a few of my first Elevation Polishes!
I picked up four recently (Toubkal is the other, haven't worn it yet) And then the amazing Ida sent me three!!
So I also have Cascade, Haba Xueshan and The Wit! You will see all of those soon too!

I'm really loving all of my new Elevation Polishes so much!
I think deep down I just..knew that I would and that's why I put off trying them for so long, to keep my wallet safe :)


Huangshan - One coat over Kbshimmer 24 Carrot Bold.

Holy shiznit guys!! My camera was not happy with me with this mani LOL
SOO pretty & bright! A truly epic combo!


Tette 

This polish is very thin, seriously I think this was 5 thin coats.
But the coats did dry very quickly and it didn't build up a lot, it felt more like 3 coats of a normal polish "thickness wise" if you know what I mean!


Uluru

I can't remember but I think I used two coats.. at two there is a very slight VNL but not enough to bother me.


For you guys who saw this sneak peek on IG yesterday.. it's stamped over Uluru!!


I decided to stamp over Uluru with Konad Special black polish and stamping plates DRK-A & BM-323.



Sky really loved Uluru and wanted it on too so I painted her nails too :)
She kept moving so I couldn't get a great picture of ours together but, you get the idea.

Miss Professional Nail - Sation - Swatches & Review

Hey all, Happy Father's Day! I doubt many, if any dad's read my blog but still.
It can serve as a reminder for those of you with a Father to go tell him Happy Father's day :)

Today's post is my very first experience with the brand Sation! A brand I've been wanting to try for ages!

Money Badger - Two coats over Bondi Central Park Blossom.

Prairie Fairy - Two coats.

Rock A Guy Blue - Two coats.

I really can't say enough how wonderful these polishes are! They have terrific formula's and go on so smoothly and dry quite fast. They are also affordable so that is a big plus!

I'm a sucker for a gorgeous pink so Queenie in a Bottle is my favorite! 

Along with Plenty of Frogs and You're my Lacquer Charm!

Prairie Fairy doesn't look wonderful with my skin tone but I'm dying to stamp over it!

I used all of the polishes in this post, with the exception of Money Badger  to do the striped mani below.
I used nail tape and a striping brush. Unfortunately it smudged a little during topcoat application.

My daughter asked me to paint her nails with Queenie so I gladly obliged, then I asked her what she wanted on top! Flowers? Polka Dots? And she chose Polka Dots! I added the dots with a dotting tool and Rock A Guy Blue.
Then I decided to do my nails to match hers. 

I did my nails while she was on my lap and the topcoat smudged here also so needless to say they are far from perfect but I loved matching our nails together. :) (Who knows of a smudge proof topcoat? I used SV)

Salon Perfect Kaboom & Floam Comparison

Hi all! Today's post is another quickie (but don't worry, more reviews soon!)

This post compared Floam and Salon Perfect Kaboom!


Kaboom (left), Floam (right)

Floam is on the Pointer & Ring finger nails and Kaboom is on my Middle and Pinky nails.
I used three thin coats of both on my bare nail.

Kaboom is more dense and goes on a little less smooth, but it is more affordable.
Kaboom is just a little more dense than Floam.

They seem pretty dupe-y to me! Something about Kaboom is a tiny bit different.
 It looks like it just has more yellow and green than Floam.


Now I have to go suffer the experience that is the grocery store :(
If I was rich I would get my groceries delivered lol

What can I say about these besides how awesome they are?!
It's so nice to see a mainstream brand capture something properly that we've seen many indies do!
The formula of these polishes is very consistent, they are a little thick but still applied pretty easy and evenly for me. 
You will need to double up on a good thicker topcoat such as SV or Gelous.
