Hi all! Today's post is featuring the Pahlish LE August Duo "The Old Fires Were Burning"

Slow Like Honey - Three thin coats.

Heavy With Mood - One coat + a little glitter placement.

"a clear based glitter topper with copper metallic glitters in several sizes, small moss green hex,
and medium midnight green squares accented by sparse gold shimmer"

Slow Like Honey is an absolutely gorgeous almond cream color, a perfect neutral!
It applied a little streaky (as most cream colors do.)
If  you have Milani Almond Bliss it's MUCH easier to work with that that.
Two slightly thicker coats would probably work fine but I prefer to use three thin ones.

Heavy With Mood is awesome and can be used over so many colors, I want to pair it with orange!
It spreads well and has just the right amount of glitter. I love the copper glitter with the green!

I really love this duo, they go so well together but you can still use them with so many other polishes!
Slow Like Honey is a great staple color!

GlitterDaze St. Patty's Day Party Duo - Swatches & Review

Good Morning! Today's post is a St. Patty's Day Duo from GlitterDaze that just so happens to be releasing TODAY!

Lucky Clover
An emerald green jelly with green flecks. Opaque in 3 coats (4 for extra depth)

I used four thin coats of Lucky Clover, although three was sufficient.
I love the Zoya esque glass fleck micro flakies! Flakies + green and a jelly?
All three are some of my favorite things! The formula went on evenly and had a very easy application.

Heart O' Gold
white hearts, holo gold hearts and stars, and multisized green and copper glitter, in a sparkly clear base

I layered two thin coats of Heart of Gold over Lucky Clover.
It does require a little bit of fishing but it is well worth it! The shimmer in HOG is beautiful.
I layered it over cremes below so you could see it better!

Two coats of Heart of Gold over Zoya Shawn, and Dree.

Laquerlicious Disgruntled Elf, Melted Ice Cream & Mixed Berries - Swatches & Review!

Hello Lovelies! Today's post is of a relatively new indie polish brand called Laquerlicious!

Disgruntled Elf, Melted Ice Cream, & Mixed Berries.

Disgruntled Elf
"a sheer silver base with red, pink, green, light green and white large to tiny square, hex and slice matte glitter."
I layered Disgruntled Elf over China Glaze Running in Circles and Def Defying.
Such a cute holiday polish, I think the added pink makes it more versatile then a only red and green Christmas polish.

Melted Ice Cream
"a clear base with Black, White, Light Pink, Purple, and Hot Pink Shredded Matte Glitter. "

I layered two coats of Melted Ice Cream over China Glaze Sweet Hook.
I recommend doing a bit of dabbing with this, it doesn't spread effortlessly but not many shredded glitter polishes do from my experience! Definitely worth the effort!

Mixed Berries"a magenta with a blue shimmer jelly base. It has micro bar glitter and purple & silver shredded glitter."

First I built up Mixed Berries on it own with three coats.
The formula is a little goopy due to the amount of glitters but applied very evenly.
I prefer it layered like below though!

This is two coats of Mixed Berries over China Glaze Creative Fantasy.
Such a perfect match!! I love this polish so much, I have already ordered a spare! :D
This polish is so gorgeous, I did my best to capture it but it is even more amazing in person!

Zoya Ornate Holiday Collection Swatches & Review!

Hey all! I am so excited about today's post! Swatches of the Zoya Ornate Holiday Collection!

These are so pretty and sparkly, they just radiate Christmas spirit!

Before I begin with the swatch pictures I'd like apologize ahead of time, they will not be in the order of the bottle shot and macro photos as seen below. I admit I didn't think first when I placed them in this order because Electra is a topcoat polish and needs to be on top of another polish Doh!


Electra, Ziv, Logan, Storm, Blaze, and Aurora.

Aurora

Zoya Aurora is described as a full coverage, medium sugarplum purple flecked with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. 

For the pictures above I used three very thin coats of Aurora. 

I believe two thicker coats would have worked though. The formula was flawless. 

Blaze

Zoya Blaze is described as a full coverage, cool-toned medium mulberry red with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter.

Just like Aurora I used three very thin coats of Blaze.
The formula was almost exactly like Aurua, just a smidge thinner. It was very easy to work with.

Storm

Zoya Storm is described as a full coverage, holiday black with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. 

Storm was perfect in two coats. Impeccable formula! Just like Aurora.

Logan

Zoya Logan is described as a full coverage, yellow-toned forest green with dense, foil-like yellow-gold and blue-green duochrome shimmer.

Logan is so pretty, it put a smile on my face instantly.
Reminds me of why I fell in love with Zoya nearly two years ago when I bought my first Zoya polish-Ivanka.
It is the perfect Christmas tree color <3 I can't recall how many coats I used, but It was probably three very thin coats.
I usually do three coats vs two thicker ones.

Ziv

Zoya Ziv is described as a full coverage, yellow-toned metallic gold foil with silver highlights and warm gold flake glitter accents. Try this for an extremely shiny, reflective, and eye-catching luxe gold nail. Imagine Zoya Trixie in gold.

I estimate this will be my new go to gold polish. It may be the first gold that I have truly loved!
 Ziv requires two coats for opacity. I love that it has so much silver but is still gold!
Truly a unique shade!

Electra

Zoya Electra is best described as a micro fine diamond holographic glitter mixed with large silver holographic bar tinsel in a clear base.  

Electra is pretty, but I think I'd prefer it over a creme instead of hiding Storm so much!
I used one coat with minor dabbing on top of Storm. I think Electra is my first solely bar glitter polish and I can't wait to experiment with it more!

I decided to add Butter London Matte Topcoat on top of the Electra/Storm combo.

This is a really simple Dot-icure I did when I was done swatching.
I started with Logan as my base, and used my largest dotting tool and added various dots on my nails with Ziv, Aurora and Blaze.
