Contrary Polish Color Context Trio - Swatches & Review!

Hey guys! Today's post is the new Collection/Trio from Contrary Polish!!
I'm loving these rich colors, I know summer is mostly about brights but I miss the deep shades!

Blood Orange - Three thin coats.

"Red base with gold shimmer; overall polish has an orange tint"

Blood Orange is a gorgeous rich jelly-ish red that I think will look great on all skin tones.
The gold shimmer makes the polish appear to have a orange sheen.

Greenhouse  - Three thin coats.

"Blue base with gold shimmer; overall polish looks green"

Greenhouse is super interesting! It's a blue teal-ish base with tons of green shimmer.
It has so much shimmer that it basically looks green!

Indigo Rose - Three thin coats.

"Blue base with red-orange shimmer; shimmer appears red-purple
and gives overall polish a purple tint"

The red-orange shimmer makes Indigo Rose appear purple instead of the blue base color, it's really neat!

All three of these polishes are crazy gorgeous, even more so in person!
My flash on camera made them look a bit sheer whereas in person it didn't look sheer whatsoever.
Indigo Rose is probably my favorite, it's so unique! But Greenhouse and Blood Orange are killer too!
I wore greenhouse for four days and then took it off today to swatch but I had zero chips and very minor tip wear!
Contrary Polish makes the best shimmers, if you haven't checked out her polishes than you definitely should!
Especially for those who want to try indies but dislike glitter bombs!
All of the Contrary Polishes I have tried have all had impeccable formula's and these were no exception!
They apply very evenly and smoothly, they aren't too funny so you don't have to worry about flooding your cuticles but they aren't too thick either. Seriously top notch formulas!

A Peace of Heaven - One coat over Zoya Rocky.

I love these polishes so much for layering! Sana states they can be built up to opacity with three coats but I haven't tried, sorry! They do seem a bit thick to me to build up, but I guess it depends in how thin you paint your coats. They are also a bit too thick for gradients, mine came out okay but it was difficult.

Unrelated but keep Sana in your thoughts :( poor thing just lost her doggy Browny last month.
I know how hard it is to lose a furry friend so lets send her some virtual hugs! *hug*

A Floam-bre!?

Hey guys! Today I'm posting my very first Ombre manicure ever! I hope you like it!!

First I started with the following colors!


Thumb: Illamasqua Serenity, 2 coats.
Pointer: Nubar Blue Raspberry, 3 coats.
Middle: Illamasqua Nomad, 2 coats.
Ring: Nubar Kiwi, 3 coats.
Pinky: Illamasqua Rare, 3 coats.

And then I added a coat of ....

Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe =]

Here is the past 2 days mani :) I realized that I hadn't tried it yet and then I put it on as quickly as I could lol! I love DL polishes, ugh so worth the splurge imo! I can't wait to get my hands on Call Me Irresponsible. I honestly forgot how many coats this was 3 or 4 I *think*. Sorry about the tip shrinkage : ( Seche was to blame but I love it so much! I recently bought the Out the Door topcoat because I have heard really great things about it, maybe it wont cause shrinkage like SV. I also broke a little bit of my nails on my index & middle finger so sorry they are shaped funky! It seems like every time I get them looking good 1-2 breaks! I need to find something that works better I guess, I want to try Opi's Nail Envy I think I will end up finally trying it.
Hope everybody is having a great weekend! Mine is okay so far, kind of boring but they almost always are :P

Hi You guys! Sorry I haven't been on, the past two days I was hanging out with Amber from http://rainbowsandsparklesblog.blogspot.com/ <3 We got to meet and had a awesome time! We went out to dinner with her hubby & my daughter then the next day we went to Mammoth Caves and it was really cool! We stopped by a store to try to squeeze in some polish shopping but it was sort of a bust! They didn't have much but I did get Hard Candy's Beetle which I have been wanting! Here is what was on my nails the past few days! I think I'm going to repaint them pink today..either Zoya Barbie, Jolene, or Kiki..

<3 you guys and I am so excited that I have 64 followers!! In 11 days!!

This polish is SO pretty I love it! It makes me think of mermaids!!
It seriously has to be in my top 5 or 10 fav polishes I have so far!!

Zoya Nail Polish in Charla can be best described as: tropical blue sparkling metallic. An expensive-looking metallic shade for summer.
