OPI Ds Glamour! /drool Picture Heavy

Hey guys! Okay so i know this post has a kind of ridiculous amount of photos but I have SUCH a hard time narrowing them down! Especially with a holo polish! This is four coats of OPI Ds Glamour-You DO NOT need 4 coats, but I added the extra one because my pointer nail is peel-y and you could tell lol

I hope you all enjoy! I love this polish so much! <3 There was finally enough sun to do a holo so I went for it!
I think it was luck from Jen at http://www.thepolishaholic.com/ :) She tweeted about the weather and I replied about how I wish it would be sunny so I could post a holo and she said she would cross her fingers for me and bam, there is sun! :D She is just all kinds of awesome! (lol I swear I'm not a creepy stalker :P)

Here are two pictures inside with a lamp also, the rest were taken outside in the sun!

Keep a eye out for something special coming up in the very near future!

China Glaze Snowglobe Layered

Good Evening all! Tonight's post is a mani I just did, just a simple layer manicure but I really love it!
It is China Glaze Snowglobe over Orly Andogynie..which I unfortunately do not have pictures of alone at the moment. I took some, and then decided I wanted more glitz and added snowglobe, and again took pictures only to find that when I put the SD card into the computer that somehow none were saved to it! They were nowhere to be found so I took more of what I had on but I will have to take photos of Androgynie separately some other time for you all :)

But anyway! Loving this more than I initially thought I would! Took a few pictures in different lighting and angles. I love it! I got Snowglobe from Sephora a few days ago for $4.99 or $5.99 (Can't remember D:)

I hope you guys are all having a fantastic day! I'm already feeling the Christmas spirit and it's over a month away :D

Maybelline-Cool Couture

Hi guys! Today's post is Maybelline-Cool Couture. I want to start off saying sorry for the quality of my pictures, they just feel sub-par to me but My daughter kind of got inside my lightbox and destroyed it and it has been raining almost constantly all day and cloudy for days so here is the best I could do at the time :)

I used 2 coats for this mani, and I really love this polish..which is surprising I am not big on Maybelline polishes. In fact I only own 3 lol! The first coat didn't go on so great, but after that it smoothed out and went on beautifully! Been lemming this for a couple months since I saw Jen the Polishaholic post it! Took a while to hunt down but I got my hands on it!

And in other exciting news! Yesterday I won a facebook contest on Llarowe's Fb page and won a polish of my choosing!! I can't wait! I chose Ozotic 505!! Keep a eye out for that post in the future!!

Long time no see! Ooh a Franken look at me!

Lol yes Lame Post Title I know but I am feeling silly!

It has been forever! Well it feels that way anyway! I arrived home safely from our trip on the 6th of November, very late though. But I was eager to get back to blogging! Then wouldn't you know it our effing internet was down when we got home! That FINALLY got fixed yesterday. Three different techs came here lol but they found out the problem was somewhere else, i have no clue but I am happy to have it back, and happy to blog again! And also very happy that we get 1/2 month's bill credited back to us!

Anyway here is a franken I made 2 or so days ago that I just love! It is still unnamed so let me know if you have any suggestions! I was going to wait and post it later so I could get a sunlight shot but I am impatient and the sun isn't very shiny atm : / But I will come back and add those in or include it in my next post so you can see the holo in it!

I really love this pretty! <3 Perfect for the upcoming winter!

I also need to post a haul picture(s) from all the mail that I got when I came home!
But I love you guys! <3 Off to go finish my coffee and check on my pot roast :D

Happy belated Veteran's Day!

My nails aren't looking their best, I broke a few while playing with my nephews and from being a dork :P

Guest Post with Jen from Jens Painted tips!

**waves** Hello, I’m Jen from  Jenspaintedtips.blogspot.com!  The lovely Sarah is away and asked for some guest posters. So HERE I AM! I have a relatively new blog, please check it out if you want!

Today my post will be a franken I made, I haven’t named it. It’s interesting on the nails. This is a macro shot of it. Neat, huh?

So this concoction consists of Mummy May I, Milani HD, and a few drops of It’s Alive.

It went so nicely on the nail. This was 2 coats.

You can see the holo-y goodness just a little on the pinky.  Then because I can’t leave well enough alone, I stamped a web on it with IDK

I’m really digging this color. It’s odd, it’s neat…it’s just cool!  Hopefully Sarah is having a blast  on vacation!!! Thanks for reading!!!

*Thanks Jen! Your franken is so gorg!!*

Guest Post with Kristin from Manicured Monkey!

*Note from Sarah!* Hope you all had a awesome Halloween!!

Hi everyone! I have Pepe's Purple Passion from the OPI Muppets collection to show you today. The color is gorgeous, a purple with red undertones, almost a deep merlot color. The glitter in it is raspberry in color and look like little reflective pieces of colored glass. It was opaque in two coats but I have to take a moment to talk about the formula. I thought it was just my bottle but no, seems like a trend... it's gritty. Literally. I did a thick top coat of SV and you could still feel bumps in the polish. May be a top coat like Posche would work better but I would say have your thickest top coat ready. You can see in the light reflection that they were gritty. Another thing I didn't think about was removal... when I went to remove it, I was reminded it was a glitter polish and removal was rough as such. It's not bad enough for me to recommend the foil method though so that's good! Overall, a great polish if you have a thick top coat, it's quite pretty!
Thanks to Sarah for letting me guest post on your awesome blog :)

Kristin is awesome! Visit her blog HERE!!

Guest Post with Marketta from Pink Polish Addict!

Good Morning Babes to the lovely readers of Samarium's Swatches. My name is Marketta from Pink Polish Addict and I will be doing a guest post for Sarah today.  Being a military brat and prior military myself I completely understand that when you finally have the chance to get away you take it. What I have for you today is 2 lovelies by the amazing Lynnderella. I'm sure you've been seeing them pop up this week because the last of everyone that placed an order last month is getting their packages :) The sun came out and played nice so I was able to capture how they really look :)  Onto the yummy goodness...

Connect the Dots which I layered over 2 coats of China Glaze Breakin'. CTD has a clear base with a slight sparkle jammed packed with white and black hexagonal, square, and bar glitter. The application is actually not bad at all for it to be so loaded with glitter, and the formula is good also. I suggest waiting between coats if your using more than one so that your not just pushing glitter around. I used 1 coat of Seche Vite on top which seemed ok, but by the time I finished taking pictures it completely sucked it up so I added another and it was perfection.

Shape Shifter is a clear base with multiple sizes of silver holographic hexagons and squares, micro glitter, hearts, stars, diamonds, crescent moons, flowers, butterflies, and bars! I layered SS over 2 coats of OPI's Black Onyx. THIS POLISH IS INSANE! I was really trying to shake it up good after each nail so that I could get some of every shape on each nail but that didn't happen lol, there are just to many in there. In the swatches below I used 2 coats and 1 coat of Seche Vite and I was good to go. Application was a piece of cake, and the formula is good.
Thank you for letting me share with you today and I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for stopping by and reading :)
Kisses
