Nail Art Inspired by my New Blog Redesign!

Hey guys!
TWO posts in a day?! IKR? Craziness.

Have you seen my new blog layout/design?
Isn't it awesome!? Thanks to the wonderful, talented Sarah from Chalkboard Nails!
She gave me the idea to do a mani based from it!

So I did the drips of polish by the blog header.
They aren't pixelated like those, I thought I would stop while I was ahead before I ruined it.
IMG_2100 IMG_2104 IMG_2108

I started off with two coats of Opi-Skull & Glossbones.
The drips were done with a medium striper brush, and the following polishes.

China Glaze-Secret Peri-wink-le
Essie-Bikini So Teeny & Smooth Sailing
Jordana-Boy Oh Boy
Opi-Pedal Faster Suzi!
Zoya-Kristen

What do you guys think?!

Belated 10/16-Halloween Nail Art Challenge- Freestyle

Hey guys! I know that this is late-and to be completely honest today's will be also.
(Seeing as I haven't done it yet!)  >.< I keep losing track of this challenge.

Sorry for the bad clean up, and the bad writing I feel super jumbled up currently O_o

Pointer:
I was going for a Mummy. lol
I used Illamasqua-Scorn, Milani-White on the Spot and Serum No. 5 Dayglow for the eyes,

Middle:
A Failed attempt at a Ruffle Mani-been wanting to try this forever! I wish I could do them as good as Sarah! This was my official first attempt at one. I accidentally smudged it and had to redo a bit at the bottom.. and then it smeared when I used TC : /
The polishes I used for this are Zoya-Mira, Opi-A Roll in the Hague, Orly-Fresh, Zoya-Pinta, Illamasqua-Rare, Illamasqua-GammaIllamasqua-Scorn and Illamasqua-Poke.

Ring:
I started with SpaRitual-Blue moon on a little over half my nail, and the other half I used China Glaze-West Side Warrior. Using white I painted the mood and Tombstone on my nail. I west over the stone with Zoya-Dove. Using a medium striper I used Zoya-Shawn and Zoya-Dree to make the "Grass" look less boring. Stamped on black bats with BM-213, and added the RIP and black along the edge of the tombstone.

Pinky:
I couldn't decide what to do here. I used Serum No. 5- Dayglow over white, and then put Opi-Spotted on top to test it out.

Anybody else use Preen.me?

It's a pretty neat site that I share my nail art on sometimes! Now you can embed it right into a blogpost! Here are some resents of mine. (I'm sure you guys have already seen them but :P)

Halloween Nail Art Challenge - Witches 10/11 (Charmed inspired!)

Hey guys! So today's nail art is witch themed!
I hope you guys don't mind but I took a bit of a turn on this one..
I figured everybody would be doing the same things, witch hats, broomsticks, and I don't know today's challenge seemed a bit boring to me.

It IS still witch inspired but not so much Halloween. I went for a Charmed manicure!

I wanted to dedicate today's post to my sister Marilyn.
She is the most amazing, wonderful, beautiful, supportive sister a girl could have.
And Charmed is one of her favorite shows ever! (Probably her second favorite, Buffy is #1!)
I never saw the show until me & My brother visited her in Germany,
the three of us tore through 5 seasons in a matter of a week or two! And she made me a fan :)
Not nearly as big as her, but it is a great show!

Fyi, sorry about my dry hands and that the bottle is a bit grody looking. -_-
Witch nail art Charmed Mani (2) Charmed Manicure (1)

Products Used & What they are supposed to be :)

Index: The Plogo.
Zoya-Dove, SpaRitual-Sacred Ground, Zoya-Kristen, and Zoya-Barbie.
I used Dove as the base color and sponged on a bit of Sacred Ground. I used a striping brush for the rest.

Middle: The Book of Shadows.
Deborah Lippmann-Naked, Zoya-Evvie, Revlon Moon Candy 1
China Glaze-Westside Warrior, Zoya-Codie, Zoya-Tansen.
I used the same striping brush, and did the outline of the book. I filled it in with Westside Warrior, added Codie to the corners and the other greens randomy to make it less boring.
I used A straw and Tamsen for the circle in the Triquetra (I placed it too high >.< and the book smeared *sigh*) and did the rest with the striping brush.

Ring: Inspired from Cole as Belthazor. From his demonic red & black skin.
Zoya-Tamsen, Cult-Nails-Evil Queen, Jordana-Hawaiian Flower, China Glaze-Velvet Bow and Wnw-Black Creme.
I used multiple reds so it didn't look flat and plain, though it's hard to even tell. I just sponged on the other reds on, around the corners on top or Evil Queen. I did the black with the same striping brush. Not easy >.< Messed up quite a bit lol!

Pinky: I got lazy and I couldn't decide what to do for this nail. D: Sorry nothing special about this one! Zoya-Codie, and Cult Nails-In A Trance sponged on the tip.

I really hope some of you guys liked this :)
Not a show that is on currently but I know it had a big following!

Halloween Nail Art Challenge - Z is for Zombies 10/9

BRAAAIIINNNNSSSSSS hehe Today's Nail art challenge is ZOMBIES!
While I'm sure mine isn't the best or most creative-I really LOVE it!

The first few photos were taken right after I did them! I was like hell, why clean up lets add shit!
Haha so I used some matte burgundy, black and dark brown eye shadows to make my hands and cuticles look extra gross. including some liquid eyeliner to accentuate the creases on my fingers/knuckles.

Then before posting I decided to clean them up, the eye shadows were already washed off from washing my hands so lets make it look nice to wear in public haha..yes I do indeed plan to!
I also added a bit more "blood".
I will list the polishes & stuff I used below the pictures!
Zombie Nails Zombie Nail Art Zombie Nail Art Zombie
And all tidied up..
Zombie Mani Zombie Mani Zombie Manicure Zombie Manicure
I was trying to make them look like they were rotting, bloody and bruised under my nail.
I love how it came out :)

What I used!

I started with Nailtiques & basecoat per usual, followed with a single coat of Deborah Lippmann-Naked.
Afterwards I used a medium striping brush to line the Lunula of my nail with Urban Decay-Apocalypse.

Then using wedge makeup sponges, I sponged the following colors on rather randomly.
I used Zoya-Codie plus three acrylic paints in Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, and Raw Umber.
I also used the same colors to paint a bit of lines/marks with the same striping brush.

When that was dry I used two very thin coat of French Tip Dip Sheer Genius to sandwich what I did to make it appear beneath my nails. I added a coat of Seche Vite.
Here is what I did that you shouldn't do! (If you wanted to create this effect anyway.)
Do NOT add the blood before you use matte topcoat! Unless you want it all matte.
I wanted the blood to look fresh and running down my finger tips. SO I had to go back over it with topcoat to make it shiny lol. Not the end of the world but meh. Anyways..
After that is dry, using China Glaze-Ravishing Dahling (my go to blood color!)
I added the "blood"with a combo of the striping brush, and the brush from the polish bottle. Mostly the bottle brush to make it less neat. I used Butter London-Matte Finish to make it matte, and SV to make it shiny.

That is all! It sounds like it took sooo much longer than it really does-trust me!
I really hope you guys liked my gross nails :)
I'm a weirdo and seriously love them! Speaking of Zombies who else can't wait for The Walking Dead?!

Off to sleep! Bye guys!

This is a layering polish haha, but I wore it alone 4 coats.
So squishy! I love it! I believe a coat over a dark polish is similar to Clarins 230!
Sparitual Howl (1) Sparitual Howl (2)
SpaRitual-Howl
Two easy even coats!
SpaRitual Sacred Ground (10)
SpaRitual-Sacred Ground
/sigh SO Pretty! This was the first SpaRitual polish that I knew I needed.

Hey guys!! Today's post are some of the newer Fall/Halloween Naild'it Polishes! Get ready to drool!
Naild'it
Naild'it Halloween Fall Polishes (4) Naild'it Halloween Fall Polishes (5) Naild'it Halloween Fall Polishes (7) Naild'it Halloween Fall Polishes (6) (From L-R) Beginners Magic, Carmel Apple, Hocus Bogus, Jack-O-Lantern.
Naild'it Beginners Magic (1) Naild'it Beginners Magic (2) Naild'it Beginners Magic (5)
Beginners Magic

Beginners Magic is a black jelly polish with a variety of glitters in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes.

I used three coats of Beginners Magic for full opacity, nice black jelly packed full of glitter!!
Went on really great! Honestly, I was expecting it to be a little challenging since it has so much glitter
but it went on pretty effin smooth!
Naild'it Carmel Apple (1) Naild'it Carmel Apple (3)
Carmel Apple
This polish is a glitter bomb full of caramel (golds) and Apples (green apples of course). Oh and don't forget to breath while wearing this one, it smells like my favorite yummy treat for about two days:)!

This is two coats of Carmel Apple over BeYu-209.
(I
just got this BeYu from Fashion Polish in a swap and I absolutely adore it!) <3
It does make it look a bit Christmas-y, but atleast it is versatile!
Next time I think I will use it over a nice burnt orange.. Wonderful formula and it smells yummy!
I had no idea this was scented until I looked it up later.
I kept sniffing my nails, asking my husband if I was going crazy to see if he smelled it also, LOL!
Naild'it Hocus Bogus (2) Naild'it Hocus Bogus (5) Naild'it Hocus Bogus (7) Naild'it Hocus Bogus (8)
Hocus Bogus
Hocus Bogus is full of mischief! In this cauldron of polish is a dash of star dust (blue holo stars), a black cat's fur (black hexes in a variety of sizes), a few lovely jewels (variety of fuschia glitters), and a hint of purple magic (a variety of purples and periwinkle).

Amazing combo (imo) I just love, love, LOVE this! I paired it with SpaRitual-Sacred Ground.
I used thin two coats of Hocus Bogus, with a bit of dabbing. I did have to fish for the stars, but I prefer it that was so my nails aren't too chunky. Def go for a good thick topcoat! I used 2 coats or Seche Vite.
Naild'it Jack O Lantern (3) Naild'it Jack O Lantern (4)
Jack-O-Lantern
Meet Jack-O-Lantern. He is full of orange bars, and hexes... but what would a Jack-O-Lantern be without his face?! Mixed in this glitter bomb are a variety of black shapes including, bars, hexes, diamonds, rounds, and squares.

I paired this with SpaRitual-Howl, I think this combo is perfect! *pats self on back*
Jack O Lantern is epic, goes on easy, and screams Halloween.
This is a layering polish. and pretty dense, I only used one coat.
_________________________________________________________________________

These polishes are killer! I would buy every single one of them!
I admit I have become a bit of a Naild'it fan girl, I haven't once been disappointed from any of her polishes. I just love them, and these are no exception!

Naild'it polishes are available (or soon to be available) for purchase through Etsy, Llarowe, Overall Beauty and Mei Mei's Signatures.

 followed by Deborah Lippmann-Naked.
I stamped my Index and pinky nails with the DRK-A stamping plate and Milani-Black Swift.
My ring finger has 2 coats of A England-Bridal Veil.
My awful cat was made with a mixture of the following polishes.
Spoiled-Did I Dye It Too Blonde?

Fanchromatic Nails Swatches & Review!

Hey guys!! How is your Wednesday going?
I have a new (to me anyway!) indie brand to review today! Fanchromatic Nails!!
I was super excited when I was contacted by Lynae! I just LOVE nerdy polish!!
Fanchromatic Nails Fanchromatic Nails
Fanchromatic Nails Polishes in Pack of Freaks, Astrometrics, and A Golden Crown.Fanchromatic Nails
Fanchromatic Nails Polishes in Pack orfFreaks, Astrometrics, and A Golden Crown.Fanchromatic Nails Pack of Freaks (2) Fanchromatic Nails Pack of Freaks (1)
Pack of Freaks (3 coats + TC)
Pack of Freaks is a gold-coppery-green shimmer, packed with purple holographic, deep red, gold, and blue hex glitter, as well as small gold and large green square glitter.
Pack of Freaks is so awesome, definitely my favorite of these three!
I wish I did the initial swatch over green of black, I showed this over various colors on the nail wheel below.
The formula on this polish is fantastic very easy to layer over other polishes, no worries about applying super evenly because it just does it all on it's own!
Fanchromatic Nails Astrometrics (2) Fanchromatic Nails Astrometrics (3)
Astrometrics (2 coats over Illamasqua-Scorn +TC)
Astrometrics is a dark cobalt polish is packed full of copper sparkle, blue glitter, and lots of pink holographic microglitter. This layers like a jelly but isn't super duper shiny without a top coat. Unfortunately one of the ingredients is really hard to come by, so this is a very limited edition color.
This polish is gorgeous, I think three coats would be opaque enough to wear alone but I put it over black since I only have a mini and I wanted to save as much as possible :)
The first photo is with a daylight lamp and the second with flash.
Wonderful formula and very easy to work with and apply!
Fanchromatic Nails A Golden Crown (2) Fanchromatic Nails A Golden Crown (1)
A Golden Crown (3 coats over 3 coats of DL-RFBC)
A Golden Crown is a gold foil nail lacquer, full of all manner of different gold flecks and particles that give it texture and dimension. It also has red shredded glitter...because every crown has its price.
This probably isn't a polish I would have bought myself but I really like it.
I didn't like it over the gold I tried at first so I layered it over Deborah Lippman's Ridge filler basecoat.
I really love his over Butter London Wallis. (Pictured below)
The formula is great, no fishing for glitter shreds  and it spread on evenly.
Fanchromatic Nails
The above photo has one coat of A Golden Crown over each of the colors.
Fanchromatic Nails
The above picture has one coat of Pack of Freaks over each of the colors.
Fanchromatic Nails
Look how beautiful! I need Pack of Freaks in the full size!!!
Just look at the picture, click it..how can you resist this?

I really love the polishes Lynae sent! Especially Astrometrics & Pack of Freaks!
Astrometrics is LE so I would JUMP on that guys!
I know that we will be seeing tons of more awesome, unique polishes from her!

To keep up on Lynae and her polish geekery make sure to like her Facebook page! :D
You can purchase Fanchromatic Nails Polish from her Etsy shop HERE!
Full size polishes are priced at $8.25, with the exception of Astrometics which is $10.00 due to ingredients.
Mini polishes are available for $4.50-$5.00. And shipping is available internationally as well.

I really do not think I could be anymore in love with Pack of Freaks! <3 Buy it!!
Now I have to go figure out what to do for my black cat challenge tomorrow D:
Have a fantastic day!! -Sarah <3
