Here is my first ever attempt at a fishtail mani, with and without topcoat.
It came out pretty rough but it could have been worse!
I used Nyx, London and Dahlia.

Sorry for such a quick post, I didn't want to add these in the review because there would be too many pictures in the one post, so here we are! hope you enjoyed it :)

GlitterDaze St. Patty's Day Party Duo - Swatches & Review

Good Morning! Today's post is a St. Patty's Day Duo from GlitterDaze that just so happens to be releasing TODAY!
GlitterDaze
GlitterDaze Macros

GlitterDaze Lucky CloverGlitterDaze Lucky Clover
Lucky Clover
An emerald green jelly with green flecks. Opaque in 3 coats (4 for extra depth)

I used four thin coats of Lucky Clover, although three was sufficient.
I love the Zoya esque glass fleck micro flakies! Flakies + green and a jelly?
All three are some of my favorite things! The formula went on evenly and had a very easy application.
GlitterDaze Heart of Gold GlitterDaze Heart of Gold GlitterDaze Heart of Gold
Heart O' Gold
white hearts, holo gold hearts and stars, and multisized green and copper glitter, in a sparkly clear base

I layered two thin coats of Heart of Gold over Lucky Clover.
It does require a little bit of fishing but it is well worth it! The shimmer in HOG is beautiful.
I layered it over cremes below so you could see it better!
GlitterDaze Heart of Gold
Two coats of Heart of Gold over Zoya Shawn, and Dree.

Aren't these both super cute? if you are a green lover and a jelly lover Lucky Clover is a must have imo!!

Zoya PixieDust Spring Collection - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today's post if the new Zoya PixieDust Spring Collection!
I will be 100% honest, I'm really not feeling this textured trend, But I was pleasantly surprised.
Zoya Pixie Dust
Chyna, Dahlia, Godiva, London, Nyx, & Vespa.

Zoya Chyna (5) Zoya Chyna (3) Zoya Chyna (2)
Chyna
"a red dazzle with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I used two coats for full opacity. This is my absolute favorite in this collection.
I love dark vampy blood reds and this made me change my mind of textured polishes.
Zoya Dahlia (2) Zoya Dahlia (1)
Dahlia
"a black beauty with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

Just like Chyna, Dahlia only required two coats for full opacity. This is another favorite for sure.
Zoya Godiva (2) Zoya Godiva (1)
Godiva
"a soft nude with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I really like Godiva, a nice pretty delicate nude.  Required three thin coats.
But my foodie brain thinks that they should have made Godiva a chocolate brown :)
Zoya London (2) Zoya London (1)
London
"a fog gray with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I used three thin coats of London. I apologize because my swatches aren't 100% color accurate.
I didn't realize it at the time but I feel like it captured London a bit blue toned and darker than it is IRL.
The first picture is more accurate, but not perfect >.<
Zoya NYX (2)
Zoya NYX (1)
Nyx
"a perfect periwinkle with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

I used three thin coats. Nyx is really pretty, flattering on my skin tone. (Imo)
Zoya Vespa (2) Zoya Vespa (1)
Vespa
"a Mint Kiss with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula."

Again, I used three thin coats.

Textured polishes aren't my thing, and I probably wouldn't have tried any at all but Zoya changed my mind.
I don't LOVE them (textured polishes in general), but they are growing on me.
Chyna is amazing, and I can't imagine not having it now that I do!

I had no idea what to expect with the formula since these were my first textured polishes, but they went on very smooth.

Keep up with Zoya on their blog and with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
The Zoya PixieDust nail polishes retail for $9.00 each.

Mod Lacquer Swatches & Review: Lightning Lime, Moonbeam, & Nonpareils

Hi guys! I'm sorry for the impromptu hiatus! I just felt in a rut and needed a little break!
Today's post is a review from a new indie polish brand Mod Lacquer!

Mod Lacquer Lightning Lime (2) Mod Lacquer Lightning Lime (1) Mod Lacquer Lightning Lime (3)
Lightning Lime
"a bright lime green with gold shimmer nail polish."

I used two coats of Lightning Lime for full opacity. The shimmer is so beautiful! Great formula too!
Sorry the macro shot is darker, my camera captures them darker on the same settings >.<
Mod Lacquer Moonbeams (5) Mod Lacquer Moonbeams (4) Mod Lacquer Moonbeams (1) Mod Lacquer Moonbeams (2)
Moonbeam
"a bright blue that shifts to purple."

I layered two thin coats of Moonbeam over black (A England Camelot)
It reaches full opacity on it's own with 3 thin coats. Formula went on very smooth and evenly without effort.
Mod Lacquer Nonpareils (1) Mod Lacquer Nonpareils (2)
Nonpareils
"a milky white jelly base with a variety of different colors and sizes of glitter. "

I applied three thin coats of Nonpareils for full opacity.
Just like the other two
polishes the formula was very good, went on like butter!

You can purchase Mod Lacquer Polishes from their Etsy shop for $9.50 each.
Keep up with their brand on Facebook.

I really enjoyed all three of these, and I'm impressed that a new indie has such great formulas!

Pure Ice Showstopper Red and Gold Crackle Set - Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I'm showing you a Pure Ice Crackle set with Showstopper and 313CP!
Pure Ice Show Stopper (1) Pure Ice 313cp
I used three thin coats of 313CP for full coverage. I think two would have been sufficient if I had used thicker coats but I wanted to use thinner ones and try to decrease brushstrokes.
You can still see them, but they really aren't bad. A pretty nice gold, even to me!
I'd prefer a name rather than a mix of numbers and letters though.
Pure Ice Show Stopper (3) Pure Ice Show Stopper (2)
I added one coat of Showstopper to 313CP (the gold)
The Pointer and Pinky were applied in X shaped, but the Middle and Ring fingers I just applied it normal.

Even though I've gotten a bit sick of crackles and shatters I like that I have a nice red one now!
I'm not typically a gold fan, I liked this mani a lot. I love that the red crackle is a bit sheer!

You can purchase Pure Ice Polishes from their website and Walmart Stores for $1.99 each.
Keep up with their brand on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
